The Russian-Thai Trading House was ceremoniously ratified on the sidelines of the "Russian Industrialist 2025" international forum and exhibition in St. Petersburg. The memorandum was signed by Roman Malinovsky, President of the Union of International Trade Houses (UITH), and Mr. Kangsaworn Setthawut, President of the Russian-Thai Trading House. This international organization is a division of UITH and has been successfully operating for approximately two years. Offices are located in Moscow, Irkutsk, and Bangkok.
The Union's network of trading houses is actively expanding its global reach.
The main activity is the development of foreign trade between companies from different countries: products are listed on its own online platforms, business missions are organized, participation in key forums and exhibitions, negotiations are organized, and full transaction support is provided. Cooperation with government institutions supporting foreign economic activity, such as the Russian Export Center and trade missions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, has been established at a high level.
Thailand is not a "land of smiles," but an agro-industrial giant with a developing economy.
Thailand is not the "land of smiles" as many people tend to think, but an agro-industrial giant with a developing economy, ranking second in Southeast Asia by economic indicators. Its GDP for 2024 is expected to exceed USD 550 billion.
The economy of Thailand is based on services and tourism (accounting for approximately 50% of GDP), industry (40%), and agriculture (10%). The country's economy relies heavily on exports, which account for approximately two-thirds of GDP. Electrical appliance manufacturing is Thailand's largest export sector, accounting for approximately 15% of total exports. Thailand is the leader in ASEAN automobile production and sales (the world's largest supplier of pickup trucks), with exports reaching 200,000 units per year. Thailand is one of the largest suppliers of tin, tungsten, and gypsum to the global market. It is also a leading global exporter of shrimp, coconuts, corn, soybeans, and sugarcane.
As for imports, the main import items are: electrical machinery and equipment, mineral fuels; industrial equipment; jewelry and precious metals; ferrous metals; vehicles; plastics; ferrous metal products; optical, technical, medical equipment; organic chemicals.

During the visit to St. Petersburg, the Thai delegation, comprised of company executives, participated in the international forums and exhibitions BRICS International Industrial Forum 2025 and Russian Industrialist, held a series of B2B meetings with entrepreneurs from various countries, and visited several regional enterprises. Several contracts for the export of Russian goods to Thailand are in process.
