On October 30, 2025, the Russian-Indian Trading House was solemnly ratified on the sidelines of the forum and exhibition "Russian Industrialist 2025" in St. Petersburg.
The founder of the new structure is the Union of International Trading Houses. The organization actively develops international cooperation and foreign trade. The union already includes six trading houses with countries including Russia, Vietnam, Mongolia, China, Cambodia, Thailand, and now India.
The ceremonial signing of the memorandum establishing the trading house took place in a special public signing area at the "Russian Industrialist 2025" forum and exhibition at the Expoforum in St. Petersburg. Roman Malinovsky, President of the Union of International Trading Houses, acted as the signatory on the Russian side, while Mr. Prashant Chaudhary, appointed President of the Russian-Indian Trading House, signed the document on the Indian side. The bilateral structure of the organization includes a representative office in India. Its headquarters will be located in the capital, New Delhi.

Trade turnover between Russia and India exceeded a record $70 billion in 2024. Russia primarily exports oil, petroleum products, fertilizers, and diamonds, as well as metals, timber, and agricultural products. India supplies Russia with pharmaceuticals, chemicals, tea, coffee, spices, rice, and seafood, as well as electronics and automotive components.
"Trade relations between Russia and India have great potential for development. We have already begun work in three areas: supporting foreign trade processes for businesses on both sides, developing bilateral tourism, and recruiting qualified Indian personnel for Russian companies. The latter task is the most pressing today. While Russia's construction and manufacturing industries suffer from a severe shortage of specialists, India suffers from overpopulation and trains almost any specialist on demand. However, registering migrant workers in Russia is not a simple matter, and the trading house is ready to take on this routine task on a turnkey basis," commented Roman Malinovsky.
A bilingual website for the Russian-Indian Cooperation will be launched soon, where users can submit applications or publish products for export promotion.
